Grown-Ups

Picture books engaging in rhythm and rhyme stimulate the imaginations of young children and expand their understanding of the world!

With repetition, emerging readers get excited and can anticipate forthcoming words. Silly words, as well as longer words that children may not be able to read themselves, allow them to play-around with language and build vocabulary.

Little Hints and Clues!

Can You Find Them?

Exploring is how young children learn! In the scenes where the passengers are being picked up for the first time, there are little hints and clues to determine what color or size his passengers might ask for next. Ask them if they can find them! Allow plenty of time to explore! Because … they are LEARNING!

Let's Go to The Park!

When young children are read to, a foundation is laid. Foundations are meant to be built upon, one step at a time, not necessarily to be finished … but rather, to be constantly changing and progressing.

The park scenes within the pages of this book were created with intention. When reading, take time to pause on these quiet scenes, as they build on the foundation of human kindness and connection, traits to be reminded of these days and always. Allow time to discover relationships and socialization within these scenes.

Every individual holds a unique and precious gift. What gifts will your readers find?

Let's Go Wild!

The wordless WILD PARK scenes are a lagniappe, an extra little gift to readers, that were created with intention. Children love to play outside and act silly, and there is a story within a story being told out in the wild! Take time to pause on these pages. Ask questions. Offer an opportunity for children to absorb the illustrations and explore the characters’ emotions. Going back to these scenes over and over allows the reader to observe new elements and further develop what they see. My hope is that these scenes will build on the foundation of kindness, connection, and relationship … traits to be reminded of these days and always.

LET’S GO UNDER THE SEA!

The silent UNDERWATER scenes are like a special bonus for readers, intentionally crafted to add extra depth. Kids are naturally fascinated with water and, within these scenes, there’s a hidden story unfolding under the sea! Take time to slow down and reflect on these pages. Encourage curiosity. Give children a chance to really take in the illustrations and connect with the emotions of the characters. Revisiting these moments allows readers to notice new details and deepen their understanding. My hope is that these scenes will help nurture the values of kindness, connection, and relationship—qualities that are always worth remembering.
